Badgley Mischka FW10

Over the years I have been lucky enough to glob myself onto some pretty impressive coattails.  Working as a publicist at a small agency allowed me the opportunity to attend fashion shows alongside some of Hollywood’s elite.  However, today marked the first time that I have attended a show as a a free agent.  I literally almost shed a tear when I saw that I had a legitimate seat and was not relegated to standing room.  While I was not gaga about the clothes (I considered calling this post Gnarls Sparkly), it was still very cool to have a place to call my own amidst the chaos.  The biggest distraction from the clothes was actually the styling.  The shoes and over-the-top necklaces detracted from what I am sure were expertly-made garments.  The celebrities in attendance were also pretty ridiculous considering  the talent consisted of the cast of “The City”, “The Real Housewives of New York” and randomly, the seductress also known as Anna Lynne McCordwhose lean muscle mass I could feel in the sixth row.  The whole thing was pretty much an illusion — a sparkling hologram of what a fashion show looks like, but devoid of any of the legitimacy upon which the legacy of Fashion Week was built.  It was awesome.

jBlog Obsession… Anna Lynne McCord:

This little tartlet is one of the hottest things out there.  Not only do I love the new “90210″ (as well as the old, doy), but I especially love the resident bad girl, Naomi Clark.  Her physique is sheer perfection and I would do anything to get her in some Pilotto, Berardi, even Victoria Beckham.  I often time think she doesn’t do her body justice and her styling choices can come off a bit…let’s say, gauche.  I think she has the charisma, the beauty and the talent to be a huge star so I have put together a gallery of looks for her.  Anna Lynne?  You can reach out to me directly.  I will work for free.  I love you?

Below are some of her cringe-worthy looks from the past couple of months:

You're better than this!

[Author's note:  This is not a smear campaign nor am I pulling pictures from the beginning of her career.   These pictures are literally from October-December 2009.]

And this is what I would LOVE to see her in:

From left to right:  1) A divine white-hot look from the designers who wow’d us last season with their candy-colored hues and contrasting cut-outs.  2) A feminine and beautifully draped confection from Thakoon (and in my opinion, the best look from his SS10 collection).  3)  Sparkling, edgy, flattering fabulousness from Christopher Bailey.  4)  La Femme Niquita called, she wants her lingerie back.  Dior killed it this season with the boudoir-inspired cocktail looks.  5)  I am obsessed with Peter Pilotto for his architectual shapes.  Anna Lynne would look modern and age-appropriate in any number of his colorful masterpieces.  6)  This is more for Naomi Clark, but I swoon thinking about those athletic legs and strong shoulders in these deliberate cut-outs.

Which look do you think would be best for her?
