Things I Have Done This Morning:

Up there with Open Bars that Don’t Suck, A Reservation at La Esquina and Spotting Bon Jovi at Whole Foods, an actual adult Snow Day is a New York legend of mythic proportions.  But here I am, in my Pajama Jammy Jams doing those indulgent To-Do’s only reserved for an unexpected day off.  And because I run a blog pretty much about me (oh, and fashion) I have decided to entertain you all with exactly what it is that I have done this past hour spent at home:

9:00 am — Participate in brief Conference Call with Fashion PR team at Starworks in which it becomes abundantly clear that I have no actual responsibility.

9:15 am — Take Baxter out in the snow in booties I fashion out of Glad sandwich baggies;  He walks out of the door in 4 and returns in 1.

9:25 am — Solo jaunt to Starbucks where I order a Skinny Vanilla Latte and proceed to add two entire Splendas thus rendering it the Beverage-Least-Resembling-Coffee in the West Village.

9:40 am — TiVo “Kell on Earth” and “How to Make it in America.”  Brain cells continue to fire on all cylinders.

9:45 am — Download new tunes from Spoon, The XX, The National, Freelance Whales and Owl City in order to up my cool factor whilst blogging ruefully.

10: 00 am – Officially declare this Snow Day an unrivaled success.

Gettin’ hyped…

As you all know, the blog-a-thon starts TONIGHT at 8:00 PM EST.  I will be blogging for 48 hours straight (7 game series, no bathroom breaks) on behalf of Helping Hands for Haiti.  My fridge is packed with Redbull and lean protein.  I have an emergency stash of green tea. Friends and family have offered to bring me treats and uppers.  Even Baxter has promised not to lick the couch while I’m working.  I’m as ready as I’ll ever be.  I even penned an ode to the obstacle before me on “The Huffington Post.”  To check it out, click here.
